For my final project for my typography class, we were assigned a 2000s era song and had to create a fake concert poster based around that song & artist. I was truly excited to get Soulja Boy's "Crank That" lol!
I wanted to evoke the over-the-top look of 2000s bling and hip hop culture. Learning how to recreate the bling in Adobe Photoshop was truly the greatest challenge of this piece. I also invested extra time in researching all of the different typefaces used with Soulja Boy's brand in order to keep the poster as authentic as possible.

Visual inspiration for the piece! I took screenshots from the video, and also looked up Soulja Boy's aesthetic at the time. I have lots of preliminary sketches for the final design of the poster that I need to scan and upload as well.
